Living in a Dream!

Well, we did it. We moved out of our home of 16 years after burying our cat, Maggie. Maggie was 20 years old and was loved by all our children and grandchildren. She had arthritis, had a difficult time walking and climing our stairs and was starting to scratch at our grand babies faces....so we made a very sad trip to the vet. She was such a good, loving cat and will be missed.

We love our new home. We have had a hard time making the transition of driving home to it, however. Even though we love our new home, we keep making the wrong turn when we are coming home from grocery shopping at Kents. It is hard seeing someone else living in my home. We built it, we lived in it and raised our children in it. So many memories were made there. SO, we have a task....building new memories in this amazing new home.

Kristine is home from her mission to Argentina. She is attending BYU-I and comes home just about every weekend. We missed her while she was gone and her visits home from college are so much fun.

We are spending Thanksgiving in Denver with Danielle, Jimmy & the girls. The day has been amazing, the food absolutely delicious and spending time with the grandkids is the best part of all. I've got to get to bed because I am getting up at 3:45 a.m. to go Christmas shopping on "black" Friday. Hurray! Pictures will be posted soon ;-)

Here is a picture of Rex and I as we golfed at the Bear Lake Golf Course for our annual visit to our condo. It was a little cooler weather this year but that didn't stop us from having fun. We made a point of visiting La Beau's every day for one of their amazing raspberry milkshakes too.

In the afternoon we went for 4-wheeler rides. One day we took the Richardson trail from Garden City up to the Shoshone trail around to Old Ephriams Grave then across to the Spawn Creek trail and back up to Richardson and down to Garden City again. That ride took us 6 hours. It was amazing and the view was breathtaking.

We are selling our house!

Oh my gosh! We have been spending the summer fixing our house and getting it ready to sell. We put it on the market two weeks ago and we already have an offer. UGH! I have mixed feeling about selling the house--there are lots of great memories with my children and grandchildren. But...Rex and I are getting older and all the stairs are becomming a problem. Just last week Nicole tried to ski down the last four stairs to the basement and really hurt her back. If that would have been Rex or I we would have been disabled for life!

Pictures soon !

I'm finally a Blogger!

My daughters have blogspots and many of my nieces and nephews have blogspots so I thought I would join in all the fun and keep up!  I love learning new technology.....let's see how it goes!

I married Rex 32 years ago.  We have seriously come a long way and with some luck and good health we will continue to enjoy our journey through life together.  Our most recent adventure was at Bear Lake where we went golfing and 4-wheeling every day for a week.  We purchased the green 4-wheeler about 9 years ago (Arctic Cat 300).  This year for Rex's birthday I bought him a Yamaha 550fi with power steering.  Wow!  Now after a few trail rides and switching between the Arctic Cat 300 and the Yamaha 550 I can hardly wait for the time we purchase another machine with power steering.  It makes the ride so much better.  I love getting out and letting the wind blow by as we see the beauties of nature.
